The Infrared Cat Flap – How Does it Work?

My friend was having problem with her cat Mimi. Mimi, like my pet Cassie, is a little adventurous. She is always out of the house and she only returns home when the sun is already down and the dinner is already served. My friend thought that it was just normal for a cat to go outside every once in a while. But after a while she realized that Mimi’s expeditions became rather more frequent. She tried caging her cat, but after a day or two, Mimi suddenly refused to eat or to play with her, as if she was making a protest. She really looked worried when I talked to her. I smiled at her and told her that there is still a solution: the petsafe cat flap. We installed the flap on her kitchen door, replacing the old pet door. We trained Mimi to use the cat door and it was amazing how easily she familiarized herself with her new flap. I called her two weeks after and she responded with a jovial cry, telling me how life became easier and safer for her and her cat ever since she used an infrared cat door.
